Between pilgrimage, ritual, and resonance, the work

invites contemplation of the invisible as a force of transfiguration.

Here - water returns to its primordial gesture. From the side altars - where it rests in glass, a silent journey begins.
It advances without haste, sustained only by invisible tension - matter and intention.
The staffs that support it recall the paths - the urgencies of faith - the supports of each pilgrim’s soul.

Within these walls, another faith presses forward - a minimal crossing - drop by drop toward the center, where the earth breathes.

In the bowl, each impact almost does not exist - yet in reflection the ceiling translates and responds. The vault - like a sensitive sky - mirrors the slightest vibration as it expands into light.

Each drop - rises.

Each intention - illuminates.

At sunset - the moon arrives, in beauty.

Sublimatio does not transform the church - it listens to it.

In every thought - vibration - the reason of all - water carries it in memory.

Concentrated subtlety that ascends, essence that descends.

It reveals the invisible, gives form to tension.

Persistent, each drop senses its path.

Each passage creates,  from the ethereal,  its impulse.

Each drop falls and its destiny resonates.

Illuminates.

Rooted in time, alive in spirit

A 12th-century Benedictine monastery reborn as a sanctuary of heritage, culture, and nature — where the stillness of the past meets the vitality of the present.

Behind its centuries-old walls, the Convento de Cabanas unveils a world imbued with elegance and spirituality. Its cloister, a true haven of peace, invites contemplation through its interplay of light and shadow.

Beside it, the perfectly preserved church stands as a testament to centuries of devotion and faith.

Becken Filipe participated in the reconstruction works with roles such as Project
Management , Landscape Design and Art Direction Assistant for the owner Madame Nathalie D´Ornano during its award winning renovations by the Arquitect Fernando Cerqueira.
