Lichen inhabits an intermediate territory between stone, organism, and memory. Inspired by the silent symbiosis of lichens—the fusion of fungus, algae, and mineral—the works explore the transformation of matter as a living process.
Among fragments of wood, geopolymer, quartz, and engraved symbols, nature and human intervention merge within an experimental process. As in alchemy, everything dissolves and recomposes itself: solve et coagula.
In a time marked by ecological urgency and rupture, Lichen proposes symbiosis as a possibility for reconnection between body, landscape, and memory.
Granite is often understood as a material of immense geological timescales. In this work, we bring that perception into question.
We explore the intersection of geology, time, and material transformation.
Developed through a process inspired by ancient alchemical knowledge and contemporary experimentation, the piece presents granite formed around iron, creating a relationship between materials that appears to challenge conventional geological expectations.
Informed by experimental research and alchemical traditions, iron and stone become inseparable, forming a single sculptural body.
The result is a work that confronts our assumptions about time, matter, and the limits of material transformation.
What appears impossible becomes tangible. The piece stands as both an object and a record of transformation.
